Fees
Here’s an outline of fees and other expenses, outside of tuition.
Registration Fee
There is a one-time registration fee of $1,000. You’ll pay that upon your initial acceptance into NFPS to reserve your spot. The registration fee is separate from tuition payments and isn’t applied to your tuition.
Uniforms
Your uniform expenses will vary each year, depending on specific needs. The initial cost ranges around $1,000-1,500. In subsequent years, you’ll only need new items occasionally so uniform costs can be dramatically reduced.
Infrastructure Fee
The $1,000 fee covers the co-curriculum transportation and infrastructure support expenses.
The transportation part of the fee helps to cover the cost of your child’s off-campus activities. This way, you don’t have to worry about incidental payments for transportation throughout the year. Learning outside the four walls of a classroom helps our students stay curious and make connections between class work and the bigger world.
The infrastructure support part of the fee funds our laboratory and textbook expenses as well as supports the technology and other investments required to offer our school programs.
Daily Bussing Fee
There will be an optional daily bus service, provided by a local company – Kid-Drop. Kid-Drop offers ~10% discount of its regular rates to NFPS students. If you plan to use the service, you will need to sign the busing agreement with Kid-Drop. You will receive your bus schedule before the school year begins.
International students
International students residing in Canada by virtue of a student visa are not eligible for the Alberta subsidy for resident students. Consequently, these students must assume the total cost of education for each year they attend NFPS.
